Internal steam heaters are simple devices used to heat liquids kept in tanks at atmospheric pressure. This is done by injecting steam which condenses in the liquid; the heaters are mounted inside the tank. Steam heaters ensure an effective heating and strong mixing of the heated fluid, thus avoiding the formation of fluid layers at different temperatures inside the tank.
