External steam heaters are simple devices used to heat liquids kept in tanks at atmospheric pressure.
This is done by injecting steam which condenses in the liquid. External steam heaters are mounted outside the tank, with an inlet and an outlet connection.
Steam heaters ensure an effective heating and strong mixing of the heated fluid, thus avoiding the formation of fluid layers at different temperatures inside the tank. Steam heaters do not have any moving part and they are rugged and maintenance-free.
