The Restarting Injector is a well tested equipment to feed water to boilers and steam generators. It is a purely mechanical device, which does not depend on electrical power; its operation is based upon the principles of fluid dynamics, relating pressure and speed of fluid flows.
The injector takes a stream of motive steam from the boiler, accelerates it in a nozzle then mixes it with the feed water, which gains a pressure sufficient to enter the boiler.
The motive steam condenses in the feed water and so it re-enters the boiler too. The injector can work over a wide range of boiler pressures, with a remarkable water flow rate.
